The Tate Pivoting Reading Light by Marie Flanigan is a compact, precisely engineered fixture that punches well above its size. A fluted cylindrical barrel in warm soft brass pivots up to 90° on a knurled-edge backplate, directing a focused beam exactly where it's needed — making it ideal for bedside reading, built-in bookshelves, or layered lighting in a primary suite. The dedicated LED lightsource is touch-dimmable right at the backplate, so there's no fumbling for a switch in the dark. Clean, architectural, and deeply considered — this is a designer's answer to the task light.
